Savannah is very beautiful in the fall. The weather is cool and city is decorated for the holiday season. String lights reach across one avenue to the next, and local musicians flood the downtown area with a folky-country sound.
Maria and Jose liked the idea of doing their engagement away from home. Maria doesn't really like the beach so she thought coming to Savannah was the better option. What made the engagement session wonderful is that they wanted to include their lovely dogs in the pictures. Maple and Lemon are fantastic beast. They are so sweet and charming, and it was a delight getting to know them.
We went to Forsyth Park and walked around with the dogs. We let them play around the field before the Rugby games started. We made our way to the fountain, where we snapped a couple of portraits. After a while, the dogs began to get tired so we dropped them back off at the hotel. One of Jose's attraction was to go to Wormsloe Plantation, the epic scene where they filmed "Run, Forest, Run."
Lastly, before grabbing dinner and some drinks, we went to the historic downtown district. As the sun was setting, we walked down river street and enjoyed the beautiful Victorian architecture. We found some alley's with great lighting that I thought concluded our shoot nicely.
