What to Wear to Your Engagement Shoot

Engagement Sessions are Awesome

Wondering what to wear for your engagement photos? You're not the only one. With all the excitement and activity around planning your big day, it can get pretty overwhelming.

Before you hit the mall, amazon, or your closet, here are some tips to consider before we make some memorable photographs.

Determine Your Location

Beach? Park? Winery? Museum? Wynwood

All these places are fantastic to create some unique engagement photos. However, from a photographers' perspective, our job is to make you stand out. We want to tell your love story.

For example, if we were to have our engagement session in a park. There is lush greenery everywhere, so bold colors like red and pink standout.

If you were to select Wynwood, it would not make sense to wear pattern clothing. We suggest solid colors and stay within soft pastels as the Design District is full of emphatic colors.

If we're in the beach, blue is a no-no. Open seas and wide open skies dominate the color palette. Bold colors are welcomed in this setting.

Fashion Choices

We are not fashion experts. It's up to you if you want trendy or timeless clothing, matching outfits versus complimentary outfits of you and your partner. Whatever you decide, it should represent you.  If you're into comics, zombies or Game of Thrones, let us know and we'll creatively work it in. We live for that.  That being said, if you're still in need some wardrobe combinations, below are some color palettes to help you get started.
