One of the hidden gems that Savannah provides, is that it is a great destination for elopements. If you want a low-key, intimate ceremony, I think Savannah, GA is one of the best locations. Downtown Savannah has a lot of history and incredible character as the architecture around the city is that of a Victorian style.
Brianna and Sean wanted a small, intimate elopement with their close family and friends. They chose to get conduct their ceremony at the Gastonian, a beautiful bed and breakfast located in the historic downtown district of Savannah.
The ceremony was held in the garden located in the back of the Gastonian. In front of the fountain, their family and friends gathered around as the officiant eloquently gave a nice sermon. The ceremony was short and sweet.
We then went to Forsythe Park to take pictures. Coincidentally, there was a wedding being set-up in front of the fountain. The event planners roped off the ceremony from the public not allowing us to get closer to the fountain. But we had one thing that can get us through those ropes...a bride! We walked over to one of the event planners and told them she was the bride and just wanted to grab a quick picture before the ceremony started. They lifted the rope and off we went. We took some more pictures across downtown, and Brianna and Sean continued their celebration at the hotel.
