This session and wedding is extremely unique because it involves a very dear friend of mine. I have known Enrique for about 15 years, and truth be told, he may be the one responsible for tapping into my creative side. Though I have always been an enthusiast when it comes to photography, Enrique actually introduced me to the musical world first before I developed a serious passion for my camera. Now, I am not one of those intriguing teenagers that were going through records at their local thrift shop every weekend, but I do have my handful experience digging through the crates (came across some gems too like Sam Cooke, Stan Getz, and Tribe to name a few). Anyhow, Enrique taught me the importance of sound engineering and some of the best times of my life was when we ran a DIY recording studio in Opa Locka, Fl (ah to be kids again).
So it was delightful when i heard he was engaged and wanted my brother and I to be responsible for capturing their moment. His fiance is also great. She is a spunky and energetic lady with so much joy and life. They have an apartment on the beach so it made a lot of sense to incorporate that into their engagement session. Our shoot started out on their local beach, but then we made the drive to the famous Farito beach to shoot some sunset pictures.
After some shots of Jameson and a couple of beers, we made moves and headed North. Unfortunately for us, Marc Anthony was in town giving a concert and created some ridiculous traffic through downtown Miami. We capped the night of on Watson island, to try to get some shots of the Miami Skyline.
