A week long cruise down the Eastern Caribbean with a wedding in St. Thomas with some cool peeps, #whosaysno?
The Caribbean served as backdrop for a beautiful wedding. It started off with a departure from Miami, which set the stage for an epic week long adventure of buffets, drinking, dancing, and people watching! It was really special to see all of their guest come out to share not only Eleny and Enrique's special day, but the week long vacation that we'll remember forever.
What made this wedding even more special was getting to meet Eleny's family in Dominican Republic. They met us outside of where the ship docked with warm hugs as if we have known each other for many years. We quickly hopped on a bus and went to a restaurant to have drinks and socialize among ourselves. Across the street was a beautiful beach with a Poseidon statute towering over the waves and the water. We followed the beach by having lunch at Eleny's grandma's favorite restaurant. I can attest that her grandma has great taste. It was one of the best seafood I've ever had. It was such a great experience, and I am thankful for allowing Eleny to share her family with us.
St. Thomas was just splendid. The views from the ship were breathtaking, and I pretty much knew that we were in for a gorgeous ceremony...and it was! In front of family and friends, Eleny and Enrique dedicated their lives to one another. The reception was held on the ship with an open bar ready for thirsty guest who just spend 4 hours out in the sun. A couple drinks later, everyone was out on the dance floor getting loose and enjoying themselves while celebrating Enrique and Eleny's nuptial. The night ended with friends sharing stories on the deck, while enjoying the beautiful mountains in St. Thomas.
